Switzboiz take Africa to the world with foto

Switzerland based Musical duo; Switzboiz say their new single “foto” is an acknowledgement of how beautiful and confident people are beginning to feel inside.

“Nowadays, everyone picks a phone and poses for a photo; it is a sign of how beautiful people feel inside”, they say.

The two were speaking in an interview with YFM’s Kwame Scientific on Kumasi based YFM.

The group comprises Tymeless who is Nigerian originally, and Toffi who is Ghanaian by origin.

Toffi explains his musical beginnings saying he used to hang around with known names like Bukback, Nkasei, Reggie Rockstone and several others but couldn’t really record anything with them due to a serious accident he was involved in around that time.

“We’ve been in this game for sometime and we know the ups and downs of the game you know”, Toffi explained to Kwame Scientific.

They also explained the reality of being a migrant saying that people are forced to put their passions away when they migrate in order to make a “basic” living. “Ours is however a calling and we are unable to put it away even in Switzerland”, Tymeless said.

“We are just doing out thing. We want to be a part of this movement. We just wanna represent Africa show the world what Africa can do both home and abroad. We are not competing with anyone. We respect all those guys who’ve been there before us and have learnt from all of them. It’s about unity and not competition. We are just doing our thing”.

Tymeless and Toffi say they really wanted to come out with the kind of music anyone could relate to, hence their new single –foto. “Taking photos or selfies is now what everyone does and it expresses a certain inner beauty people feel”, they explained and encouraged Africans to follow their work on youtube and other music websites.

The Switzbois say Africa is moving forward and hence the need for Africans to express love and unity for each other as their collaboration has so far depicted.
